Information we collect
Information you provide to us. When you fill out our contact form, we collect the details you enter — such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message — so that we can respond to your enquiry. We do not use this information for marketing, and we will not add you to our update emails without asking you first. If we offer a newsletter and you sign up, we will collect your email address for that purpose. You provide this information voluntarily, and you can choose not to provide it, though this may limit our ability to respond to you or send you updates.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the site cannot function properly without them. If you consent to analytics cookies, we also collect information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device information, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, the links you click, and how long you spend on each page. We use this information to understand how visitors use our site and to improve it.
Cookies and consent
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. When you first visit our site, a cookie banner lets you choose which cookies to allow. Only strictly necessary cookies are enabled by default; analytics cookies are set only if you opt in. Website hosting (Webflow). Our website is built and hosted on Webflow, whose servers are located outside Canada, primarily in the United States. Webflow sets cookies that are necessary for the website to function properly and securely, such as maintaining session information and protecting against fraud. Google Analytics. If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to help us understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics sets cookies (for example, _ga and ga*) and collects information such as the pages you visit, the time spent on the site, and general location data derived from your IP address. This information is aggregated and helps us measure and improve site performance. Microsoft Clarity. If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics tool provided by Microsoft, to understand how visitors use our website through heatmaps and session replays. Clarity reconstructs a visitor's session — mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and interactions with page elements — from events captured as you browse. This behavioural data, together with information such as your IP address and device details, may constitute personal information under applicable privacy law. Clarity uses first-party cookies (for example, _clck and _clsk). Session-replay data is retained by Microsoft for approximately 30 days and heatmap data for up to 13 months. Email services
Marketing emails (Mailchimp). We use Mailchimp, an email marketing service provided by Intuit, to send marketing updates to our existing customers and, if we launch a newsletter, to people who subscribe. For this purpose we store your email address (and name, where we have it) with Mailchimp, whose servers are located in the United States. These emails may include tracking technologies that tell us whether a message was opened or a link was clicked. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email we send, or by contacting us. Transactional emails (Brevo). We use Brevo to send transactional emails — messages sent in direct connection with something you have asked us to do, such as acknowledging or responding to an enquiry. Brevo stores the information needed to send these messages, such as your email address, on servers located in the European Union. Error monitoring (Sentry)
We use Sentry, a US-based error-monitoring service, to detect and diagnose technical problems with our website. Error reports are scrubbed of personal information before they are sent to Sentry.
Where your information is stored
When you submit our contact form, your submission is captured through our website platform, Webflow, which retains a copy in its form logs in the United States. The submission is then processed by our workflow automation provider, n8n, whose cloud service stores data in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), and delivered to our database hosted in Canada, on Google Cloud in Montréal.
More broadly: our website is served from Webflow's infrastructure, primarily in the United States; analytics data is processed by Google and Microsoft, including in the United States; marketing email data is stored by Mailchimp in the United States; and transactional email data is handled by Brevo in the European Union. Where personal information is handled outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and we use contractual and other safeguards to ensure it receives protection comparable to that required under Canadian law.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form, to send updates to people who have asked to receive them, to operate, maintain, and secure our website, to analyze and improve how our website performs and how visitors use it (where you have consented to analytics cookies), and to comply with our legal obligations. We only use your information for the purposes described in this policy or for purposes compatible with them.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party service providers described in this policy — Webflow, Google (Analytics and Cloud), Microsoft, Intuit (Mailchimp), Brevo, n8n, and Sentry — who process it on our behalf to provide their services. We may also disclose information where required to do so by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and copies held in Webflow's form logs are deleted periodically. Email subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the retention periods noted above.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or by contacting us directly. You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time as described above. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Privacy Officer and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you are a Quebec resident, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Children's privacy
Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
