Founded in 1938 by the Mackay brothers, Mackays has been producing small, authentic batches of marmalades, preserves, curds and chutneys for over 70 years. Today, Mackays is owned by the Grant family, who have stayed true to its values of quality and homemade tastes. Mackays exclusively uses strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants sourced from the rich berry fields of eastern Scotland. Working closely with each farm, Mackays selects only the highest-quality berries for its jams. Following their heritage, Mackays still uses the traditional ‘open pan’ slow-boiling method of jam-making. Their range of marmalades, preserves, curds and single farm conserves is made the authentic way.
