From the Island of Mull

Founded in 1994, Island Bakery is a family business led by Joe and Dawn Reade. From humble beginnings baking fresh bread for the islanders, they began making sweet and savoury biscuits so everyone could enjoy a little piece of the Island. Produced in small batches, each biscuit is baked with care in their woodfired ovens on the Island of Mull in Scotland.

Passionate about the environment, Island Bakery is the only biscuit producer in the world baking with wood-fired ovens. Their eco-friendly bakery in Tobermory is powered exclusively by local renewable energy—wind and water for electricity, and wood for heating the ovens. Using as little plastic as possible, Island Bakery carefully packs its artisan biscuits in recyclable boxes complete with paper trays, shaped like boats.

Quality and Flavour in Every Bite

Island Bakery only uses premium, organic ingredients in their scrumptious biscuits, with one exception for Isle of Mull Cheese. Using an all-butter recipe and the finest chocolate, their sweet biscuits contain no palm oil, hydrogenated fat, artificial colours or flavours. Made with 80% organic ingredients, their savoury cheese biscuits capture the full flavour of award-winning local, artisan Isle of Mull Cheese.

A Character on Every Box

Meticulously designed inside and out, Island Bakery's beautiful packaging feature caricatures of their team. Inside each box is a recyclable fishing boat aptly named for each character. This range is sure to stand out on a shelf!
